It's crazy to me that the first quarter of the year is over next week. Part of me is thrilled because I can move on to phase two of my grand master plan and start using my Plum Paper planner! But this here post isn't about the coming quarter, it's about THIS quarter, what worked and what didn't and how I'm going to be improving myself even more over the next three months.

Productivity and Planning
Productivity and I did not always get along. It took me having a new born, working from home, being a single mom and moving out of my "home" state to finally get with the productivity program. And even that did not fully convince me that I was going to have to learn some major productivity hacks to make my life work.

Productivity and blogging go hand in hand. Having blogged for decades but never seriously and now wanting to take it to that proverbial "next level", I can tell you that changing how I approached my blogging life as well as my actual life, is what changed how productive I was going to be that day. Taking all I had read about getting productive, I created my own system using the tooks and tricks of the trade to create the perfect productivity system. And that system has been adopted by several of my friends, family and even my clients!

With any new year comes the ever increasing need to get yourself organized, get your shit together and better manage your time. Aside from my trusty planning system, I also keep a few apps up my sleeve that make my day run a lot smoother.

I used to have a very in depth app set up that involved more apps than I can count. But after I changed my productivity plan I also decided to do a device clean up as well and evaluate how I was spending my time.

Starting A New Year: My Productivity Plan
Compared to those around me I am considered a productivity master. I have lists for my lists and planners for my planners. I actually created a planner plan at the end of 2015 so I would know exactly what I needed to make my daily and weekly schedule run smoothly.

But I also decided I was going to have to switch things up a bit because I had outgrown my 3" by 5" planner and my daily docket was seriously straining to contain everything I needed to do each day. I had to... wait for it... come up with a plan.
