How's your week been treating you m'dears? So far so good here. I love weeks when I'm so productive, it just feels amazing. And one of the many ways I have been extra productive is with getting my social media in order. And it's been a fun trip, let me tell you!

I talked a little last week about my planner system (update coming soon - I changed it yet again haha, but the principle is the same) and how this new system would really get my in the flow of posting as well as keeping me organized and I can't speak more highly of it. But today I want to go into things a little more in depth.
My new system is da bomb, seriously. And I'm sharing it today because I really feel like everyone, especially my darling readers, can benefit from how I run things.
The entire point of having a content and editorial calendar is to stay organized.
Let me show you a peek into my January planner so you can follow along and see exactly how it works.

Here you'll see my social media planner, spread out in all it's glory. The striped one next to it is my blog post planner and the two do go hand in hand.

You'll immediately notice the color coding and it breaks down in the top corner pretty simply: PINK for business, GREEN for personal and Purple for everything else.

Each day has at least four pieces of content I need to share. Each day I have at least one blog post needing to be shared across social media so that gets plugged in and highlighted for which blog it is first. Then I build my content around what those posts are.

Because I plan all my posts a month it's part of my weekly planning sessions to make sure all my social media matches and gets scheduled via Buffer when they should. I like to write or schedule a little every day so everything stays right where it should and then I can just check in daily to make sure it's all good.

Together, my system is pretty well flawless. However, the truth is that this system works but is too big for me so I have down graded to a Sugar Paper weekly/monthly planner in 5x8 size. I will be able to combine the blog post planner and the social media content planner much easier this way.
Now it's your turn!
Do you have a content/editorial calendar?
How do you organize all those posts?
Do you schedule monthly or weekly?
Until next time,

I found your post through Sits girls site. I do need help in the organization part with my blog. My system is not near as "pretty" as yours is.
ReplyDeleteI use a planner for everything, not only blogging. I'm trying to get into a system as far as sharing my post as well as others (something I'm doing different this year) This is a great post and I'm headed over to sift through your other stuff too! :)
Thanks so much for coming by to comment! I'm thrilled you found this (and other) post useful <3 I would love to see your system! Leave me a link so I can check it out!
