The EAE (first) Quarterly Eval)

It's crazy to me that the first quarter of the year is over next week. Part of me is thrilled because I can move on to phase two of my grand master plan and start using my Plum Paper planner! But this here post isn't about the coming quarter, it's about THIS quarter, what worked and what didn't and how I'm going to be improving myself even more over the next three months.

:: Multiple Planners ::

My planning system was no fail but the reality was it was still just too much to handle. Having a planner, a daily docket, a blog planner, a TV planner and a home management binder was bloody insane and I never should have tackled it all. Though they all worked seamlessly together and kept me organized, I k we something had to change.

Next quarter I have opted to tone things down. I received a Plum Paper planner and customized it to fit all my needs so that my TV watching habit, upcoming school events and gratitude will all live together in one spiral bound batch of perfection. I also ordered a second PPP specifically for a blog planner which will help keep blogging and business organized while still easily accessible.

Buh-bye daily docket! I will still keep a home management binder but it will no longer be such a large focus and instead be more of the household reference info.

:: Editorial and Content Calendars ::

As I said above, I am altering the "how" of my editorial but I will also be changing my schedule and cutting a few things loose.

Because I want to focus now on great content as well as freebies, printable and, >GASP< a newsletter, I will be cutting back to blogging once a week. I really want to be able to bring my readers the best and greatest content imaginable and so I will be doing away with the weekly blog post themes and the Friday Five. Rather than continue my current system, I've chosen to use a Plum Paper student planner as my blog planner. Cross your fingers!

:: Maintenance ::

Ok, I suck.

Although I did tweak a few things here and there, by and large the site has remained the same and I haven't done one single thing on my site maintenance list. Instead I dove into new, priority projects and I have chosen to keep my focus there.

As to my goals, I'm meeting them, slowly. Here's a look at where I was Jan 1 and where I sit today:

Not bad but not good either. I'm really hoping some new marketing ideas and tips this quarter will pay off.

:: Personal Life ::

I'm not going to be removing my personal blog but I am also probably not going to be posting there anymore. I don't know what the future holds and perhaps I will come home to it one day but for now, this will be the sole place I blog.

In other personal areas, this will be my last summer with my daughter before she starts school and discovers the world of friends. I aim to make the most of it with as much fun and together time as I possibly can.

There ya have it folks! The first quarter evaluation! I don't know about you but I am eager to get going on quarter two and see how much I can rock my business as well as YOURS along the way!

As always, follow along on Twitter here for tons of tips, resources and the best in business from masterminds across the web! Also, be sure to leave me a comment with what kinds of content you would like to see up here on the EAE!

Until next quarter,
